About the role:
We are seeking a Casual Administration Officers to join our Administration Team at our The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre. This role provides essential front of house and administrative support during evenings, weekends and periods of leave coverage.
As the first point of contact for patients, visitors and healthcare professionals, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital and delivering exceptional customer service.
Working Hours
Applicants must be available to work flexible casual shifts between:

Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 8:00pm

Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 5:00pm

About us
The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre is a 106-bed rehabilitation facility offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services. Our specialties include multi-trauma, orthopaedics, stroke, cardiac, restorative, acquired brain injury, respiratory and pain management rehabilitation.
Conveniently located on Springvale Road in Glen Waverley, the hospital offers easy access to Melbourne's major road networks and provides onsite parking for staff.
Key Responsibilities

Managing a busy reception desk

Answering and directing telephone enquiries

Preparing patient admission paperwork
-
Maintaining accurate patient records and medical record systems

Performing health fund eligibility checks
-
Managing the collection of excesses and co-payments
-
Liaising with clinical and non-clinical departments across the hospital

Completing data entry and other general administrative duties

Providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and staff
Essential Criteria:

Previous administration, reception or customer service experience
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
-
A positive, professional and customer-focused approach

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends

Previous healthcare administration experience and knowledge of the WebPAS hospital system will be highly regarded but are not essential.
