Bridging the Gap is seeking passionate, motivated and community-minded Mentors to join our growing Parent Pathways team.
Parent Pathways is a voluntary Australian Government program that supports parents and carers of young children to achieve their personal, education and employment goals. As a Mentor, you will play a meaningful role in helping parents overcome barriers, build confidence, connect with services and take positive steps towards their future.
Location: Gosnells, Armadale & Cannington
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time
About the Role
As a Parent Pathways Mentor, you will work alongside parents and carers to provide personalised support that empowers them to reach their goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one mentoring and facilitating group activities.
- Supporting participants to identify and achieve personal, education and employment goals.
- Developing individual action plans tailored to each participant's needs.
- Connecting participants with community services, training opportunities and other relevant supports.
- Monitoring participant progress and adapting support strategies where required.
- Maintaining accurate case notes, records and referrals.
- Building strong relationships with community organisations and referral partners.
- Achieving individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and program targets.
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative and supportive team culture.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals.
- Builds genuine relationships through empathy, respect and professionalism.
- Is resilient, adaptable and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Is confident using computers and completing administrative tasks.
- Can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Is motivated to achieve outcomes while maintaining a participant-centred approach.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum Certificate III or IV qualification (or be actively working towards one) in Community Services, Employment Services or a related field.
- Relevant experience working in community, employment, youth, family or social services.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
· National Police Clearance
· Working with Children Check
· A myID digital identity, or willingness to obtain one
