Supporting people to feel safe, build independence, and stay connected to their routines, community, and what matters most to them.
We are currently seeking Support Workers in Shepparton to support participants with varying needs across home and community settings. This includes supporting individuals with mental health support needs, personal care requirements, and those requiring assistance with daily living and community access.
Some participants are highly independent and prefer to direct their own care, while others may require more hands-on support and guidance. We are looking for support workers who are reliable, personable, and confident building positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing person-centred support within the home and community
- Assisting with daily living tasks, meal preparation and light domestic duties
- Supporting community access including appointments, shopping and social activities
- Assisting with personal care and manual handling where required
- Supporting participants with routine, structure and emotional wellbeing
- Building positive rapport and maintaining a calm, respectful approach
- Completing accurate documentation and progress notes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid P2 or Open Australian driver’s licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Experience in disability, mental health, aged care or community support
- Confidence supporting participants with varying needs and levels of independence
- A calm, patient and person-centred approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport naturally
- Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
