The role:
Adbri Concrete is seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to lead our Katherine operation, overseeing both our concrete plant and quarry site. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a well-established operation, lead a close-knit team, and gain exposure across multiple areas of the construction materials industry! You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations while supporting major infrastructure, defence and community projects throughout the region.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a leader looking to broaden their operational management experience. You'll gain exposure to both concrete manufacturing and quarry operations, developing valuable skills across two key sectors of the construction materials industry. Whether you're already working within the construction materials industry or bringing transferable leadership experience from another sector, you'll be supported to succeed and grow.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support site personnel across concrete and quarry operations

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture

Conduct toolbox meetings and oversee daily operational activities

Ensure compliance with site safety systems, mine management plans and operational procedures

Manage contractor inductions, documentation and site access requirements

Oversee contractor activities during crushing and quarry campaigns
-
Support workforce performance, development and accountability

Complete site audits, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives

Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors and local stakeholders

Support the sales team through local customer engagement and lead identification
