We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu specifications.
- Develop and assist in creating seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Ensure food preparation and presentation meet established quality standards.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and workplace regulations.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff when required.
- Manage food costs and minimise wastage.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
