Skills and Experience: -
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a chef in a fast-paced environment
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Food Safety
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality food.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to foster relationships within a team-based environment
- Proficiency in planning menus to accommodate diverse cultural and dietary requirements.
- Availability for full-time work (38 hours per week) - Valid work authorisation to work in Australia required.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and food items.
- Cater to customers with special dietary requirements and allergies.
- Order food supplies.
- Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling, and preparation of food.
- Maintain adherence to cooking methods, portions, and recipes.
- Uphold a clean and well-presented kitchen, compliant with food safety standards.
- Contribute to a safe and friendly work environment as an integral part of the team.
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
- Regulating temperatures of fryer, oven and other cooking equipment.
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
- May train other kitchen staff and apprentices.
We offer a competitive salary package of $70,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
