Job Description
Join the dedicated Renal/General Medical team on Ward 4B as a Part-Time Registered Nurse, providing high-quality, patient-centred care to patients with a diverse range of medical and renal conditions.
As a member of our clinical team, you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care while working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, Shift Leaders and broader multidisciplinary team.
This is an opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment while developing your clinical skills across both general medical and renal nursing.
The position offers up to 76 hours per fortnight and involves rostered and rotating shifts across a 24-hour, 7-day roster, with night shifts expected.
About You
You are a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with experience in an acute medical environment and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
You have sound clinical assessment and critical thinking skills and are confident working in a busy hospital environment. Previous renal nursing experience is highly regarded, and you enjoy working collaboratively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised nursing care.

Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients across the Renal/General Medical Ward.

Care for patients with a range of general medical and renal conditions.

Monitor patients' clinical condition and recognise and respond appropriately to changes in health status.

Safely administer medications and treatments in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Communicate effectively with patients, families and members of the multidisciplinary team.

Promote infection prevention and control and maintain high standards of clinical practice.

Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and contribute to positive patient outcomes.

Work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, Shift Leaders and broader clinical team.

Participate in ongoing education, professional development and quality improvement activities.

Contribute to a safe, supportive and positive team environment.
You Will Also Bring

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Approximately two years' nursing experience is ideal.

Previous experience in an acute medical environment.

Previous renal nursing experience is highly regarded.
