Happy Feet Fitness is looking for an enthusiastic instructor to join our Victorian East team as an independent contractor, operating your own Happy Feet business with the support of our experienced Regional Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants the flexibility of running their own business during school hours while making a genuine difference in the lives of preschool children.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll deliver our award-winning, play-based movement program to babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children (0-5 years) in early childhood education and care centres.
Every 30-minute class is an exciting adventure, combining:
- Music, movement and dance
- Imaginative storytelling and role play
- Magic, puppets and engaging props
- Fundamental movement skills and fitness
- Games, laughter and active play
- Age-appropriate educational themes that support children’s development
No two classes are the same - one moment you might be leading a dinosaur adventure, the next exploring outer space, going on a jungle safari or diving under the sea.
About the Opportunity
This is a brand-new role, so you won’t be taking over an existing schedule of classes. Instead, you’ll work alongside your Regional Manager to build your own timetable of 15+ regular classes across 3–5 weekdays during school hours.
The Brighton, Hampton, Elsternwick and Bentleigh corridor offers strong growth potential, with many early childhood centres in the area and opportunities to build a sustainable schedule over time.
You’ll also have opportunities to earn additional income by providing paid cover for other Happy Feet instructors when they are away due to illness, leave or training.
Income
- Earn approximately $67–$75 per 30-minute class (after licensing fees)
- Income grows as your schedule grows
- No guaranteed minimum income, as you will be building your own client base with our support
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Loves working with young children
- Is energetic, confident and comfortable performing
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Is self-motivated and business-minded
- Holds a current Working with Children Check
- Has a reliable vehicle and is happy to travel between centres
- Has an ABN or is willing to obtain one

Please note: This is an independent contractor/business opportunity, not an employee position. You will operate your own Happy Feet Fitness business under licence and work with your Regional Manager to build your regular class schedule.
