About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Support Officer to join our acute hospital-based Occupational Therapy team. Acute Occupational Therapy services are provided to a range of clients in the acute inpatient setting and specialised outpatient services at Canberra Hospital. Under general direction you will be required to provide administrative support within the acute allied health services departments reporting to the manager of the department. You will be responsible for booking and scheduling, client appointments, banking/cash handling, data entry, and general administration tasks. We are inviting suitably qualified Administration Support Officers to apply. Previous experience working in a hospital setting is desirable although not required.
As the Canberra Hospital continues to expand, so does our Occupational Therapy Department. Our department provides Occupational Therapy services across the Canberra Hospital and Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, including critical care units, medical and surgical wards, outpatients and maternity and paediatrics.
Our Admin Support Officer is supported by a team of Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants. They are also supported and provided mentoring support from other Admin Support officers working across the Acute Allied Health Service division.
