Working hours: 38 hours per week over any days from Monday to Sunday.

Western Australian Honey Pty Ltd, a large commercial beekeeping and honey packing company located at Muchea Western Australia is seeking an experienced Beekeeper / Apiarist / Apiculture Technician.
Qualification & Work Experience
· Relevant Bachelor degree or above
· Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Other requirements
· Must be able to work in the heat and be tolerant of the occasional bee sting.
· Occasional travel to different areas within the region where the bees are kept may be required. This may include several nights away from home.
Job description
· Collect and package any hive products including honey, beeswax and pollen
· Make decisions on yards, treatment, splits, honey harvesting and all other beekeeping activities
· Build and manage queen-rearing operations
· Monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of bees
· Maintain appropriate nutritional levels of bees
· Ensure breeding yards are kept at an optimal level of production
· Maintain strict control over diseases and pests
· Identify and report hive health concerns
· Market honey products to consumers or distributors (in smaller work settings)
· Organising the sale, purchase and transportation of honey
· Prepare colonies for both production and wintering during season changes
· Participate in ongoing research and development trials
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
