The business also supplies and fits mobile phone accessories, including phone covers, cases, chargers, cables, screen protectors and other device-related products.
The nominated Retail Manager position is primarily based at the Woden Shop. However, because the business operates across multiple shop locations, the Retail Manager will also oversee, support and coordinate operations at other company locations as required.
Position Summary
Hooda Mobile Company Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Retail Manager to manage the daily operations of its Woden Shop and support the management of the company’s other mobile phone and telecommunications repair locations.
The Retail Manager will be responsible for retail store operations, staff supervision, customer service, repair-job workflow, accessory sales, stock control, supplier coordination, reporting and implementation of business procedures across the Woden Shop and other company locations.
The role also includes practical mobile phone service duties, including assisting with phone repairs, basic diagnostics, device testing, changing phone covers, applying screen protectors, fitting accessories and supporting customers with phone and tablet service needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Retail Manager will:
- Organise and control the daily operations of the Woden Shop and support the operations of other Hooda Mobile Company Pty Ltd locations as required.
- Determine the product mix, stock levels, and service standards for mobile phone repairs, tablet repairs, telecommunications accessories, phone covers, cases, chargers, cables, and screen protectors.
- Formulate and implement purchasing and pricing procedures for repair parts, mobile accessories and related telecommunications products.
- Promote and advertise the business’s goods and services, including mobile phone repairs, tablet repairs, diagnostics, accessory sales and screen protector installation.
- Sell goods and services to customers and advise them on product use, repair options, accessory selection, warranty terms and device care.
- Coordinate customer repair enquiries, device check-in, basic diagnostics, repair quotations, job allocation, customer updates and collection arrangements.
- Assist with practical phone service tasks where required, including basic device testing, minor repair support, changing phone covers, fitting cases and applying screen protectors.
- Maintain records of stock levels, repair jobs, customer invoices, supplier orders, warranty claims and financial transactions.
- Undertake budgeting and monitor store performance, including repair revenue, accessory sales, daily takings, stock costs and operating expenses.
- Control the selection, training, supervision and rostering of retail staff and repair technicians.
- Ensure consistent customer service, repair workflow, stock control and store presentation standards across the Woden Shop and other company locations.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety procedures, store security, customer device handling procedures and workplace policies.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required
The successful applicant should have:
- Experience in retail management, store supervision or business operations.
- Experience in mobile phones, telecommunications, electronics, repairs or technology retail. (Desired)
- At least a Diploma level qualification in business management or commerce
- Ability to supervise staff across more than one location.
- Strong customer service and complaint-handling skills.
- Knowledge of mobile phone accessories, basic diagnostics and repair service processes.
- Ability to manage stock, suppliers, sales and daily store operations.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
