This full-time Registrar position in General Medicine at Flinders Medical Centre offers a long-term contract through to February 2030, giving you the stability and time to genuinely develop your clinical career within one of South Australia's busiest tertiary hospitals. Working within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, you'll manage a broad and complex inpatient caseload alongside experienced consultants in a supportive teaching environment. It's a substantive opportunity for a motivated medical professional ready to build expertise and make a real difference to patients across the south Adelaide community.
About the role:
This role will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to medicine patients of the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). In terms of individual performance and by contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. Duties for the role will include:
Conducting ward rounds to plan monitor and review the ongoing management and treatment of patients assigned to their care,
Providing appropriate clinical care to patients,
Coordinating the follow up care of patients,
Ensuring the maintenance of comprehensive clinical records which document significant patient management decisions
About you:
You must hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and be registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner,
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff
A commitment to providing a quality service to patients and their families,
Ability to work as a member of a team

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years from 2 February 2026. Rotations following will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
