What you’ll do:
You will play a central role in shaping and delivering the environmental approvals programme for the Offshore Division. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing environment approvals strategies, schedules and budgets to reduce business risk and support Santos' operational objectives
- Managing external specialists to ensure the on-time, quality delivery of approvals and supporting technical studies
- Attending regulatory engagement meetings with NOPSEMA, the EPA and DCCEEW, and undertaking regulatory consultation to support compliant operational activities
- Writing, reviewing and revising HSE and environment-specific plans and procedures
- Project managing third-party consultants conducting environmental monitoring at Santos facilities, including technical review of monitoring reports
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for environmental approvals
What You Will Bring
- Demonstrated environment approvals experience in the hydrocarbon industry
- Sound working knowledge of Commonwealth and State legislation relevant to offshore operations
- Demonstrated experience with HSE management systems, Safety Cases, Environment Plans and WA HSE legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field
- Relevant offshore safety certifications: TBOSIET, CA-EBS, MISC and OGUK
- Experience in operations and logistics across onshore, offshore and remote area environments
