The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Speech Therapy Assistant (or Allied Health Assistant) to join our growing multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with our Speech Pathologists to deliver fun, engaging, and functional therapy programs to children, teens, and adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement speech and language programs designed by our Senior Speech Pathologists.
- Draft individualised care plans for review and approval by Senior Speech Therapists.
- Prepare therapy resources, materials, and equipment for clinical and mobile sessions.
- Support clients across various settings including clinics, schools, and homes.
- Assist clients with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and core vocabulary boards.
- Document client progress and maintain clear communication with the primary therapist and families.
About You
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills to adapt therapy activities on the go.
- Intermediate computer skills for documentation, care planning, and clinic software usage.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and develop care plans for approval by senior therapists.
- Studying Speech Pathology (or hold a relevant Allied Health qualification/certificate).
- Strong desire to work within the disability sector and empower NDIS participants.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with clients.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (essential for using the company vehicle).
