The Business Support Officer position forms part of the Business & Administration team, which supports the Arthur Rylah Institute across front of house, administrative and corporate functions. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide timely and efficient range of business support functions to Research Director. This include including diary management, coordinate, review and track items submitted for the Director’s consideration, identifying matters that need to be referred to others for further information or that need to be brought to the urgent attention of the Director.
- Provide timely and accurate administrative support within the Business and Administrative Services team including preparation of correspondence, publication and records maintenance and filing, data input and maintenance work. Other responsibilities include publications and records management, processing of personnel training records and coordination of office resources (cab charges, teleconferences, stationery consumables etc.)
- Provide timely and accurate business support tasks which include occasional travel and accommodation arrangements, event support and secretariat functions (setting up meetings, agendas, minutes, document distribution, record management).
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a reception / executive assistance or administrative role (desirable)
- Applied understanding of document management, a using MS SharePoint (desirable)
This is a fixed term part-time (0.6 FTE) position available until 31 October 2027. The work location for this position is Heidelberg.
