Lighthouse Pest Control is a local, family-run pest and termite business that has looked after the Byron Bay and Northern Rivers community since 1986. We’re looking for our first full-time Pest Control Technician to join us as we grow.
Straight up, day to day it’s Mitch on the tools with a bit of admin help behind the scenes. You’ll work directly beside the owner, learn the termite side from 40 years of family know-how, and have the chance to grow into a senior role as we build the team.
This is a fully licensed role, not a trainee position. Once the licences are covered, character matters more to us than how many years you’ve been on the tools.

What you’ll be doing
- Residential and commercial pest control
- Termite inspections and termite management work
- Pre-construction and post-construction termite protection
- Clear, respectful communication with customers
- Thorough work that is safe, tidy and done properly the first time
- Looking after the ute, equipment and the Lighthouse name
What you must have
- Current NSW Pest Management Technician Licence
- Current Timber Pest Management Technician Licence
- Physical fitness and confidence working outdoors, under houses and in roof spaces
You’ll also need a Construction Induction White Card for site work. If you don’t already have one, we can help you sort it.

Someone honest, reliable, easygoing and genuinely good to have in people’s homes. You turn up when you say you will, take pride in doing quality work, keep your gear tidy and give customers straight advice without scare tactics or unnecessary upselling.
If you’re a proper licensed technician who is tired of being just another number in a big outfit, this could be a good fit.
