About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate College Counsellor to commence in 2027, supporting students across our Tarneit & Mambourin Campuses.
Reporting to the Principal, the College Counsellor will provide high-quality counselling and wellbeing support to students. Key responsibilities include:

Providing counselling, case management, crisis intervention and risk assessments.
- Supporting students experiencing emotional, behavioral or mental-health challenges.
- Coordinating referrals to external professionals and support services
- Working collaboratively with students, families, staff and external agencies
- Advising and supporting staff in responding to student wellbeing needs.
- Developing and delivering mental-health, resilience and wellbeing initiatives
- Contributing to College counselling, pastoral-care and wellbeing policies
- Maintaining accurate confidential records in accordance with professional and College requirements
- Supporting the Christian ethos and values of the College
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will have:

Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work or a related discipline.
- Experience providing counselling or wellbeing services, preferably in a school or youth setting
- Knowledge of student mental health, risk assessment and referral processes
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and organizational skills
- The ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters professionally
- A commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the College
Special requirements
