Elderbloom is seeking Expressions of Interest for a Village Manager to join our organisation, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retirement village (Belgrade Park Village).
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, the Village Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of the Village, with a strong focus on resident wellbeing, operational excellence, financial management, compliance and stakeholder engagement.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retirement village, including staff, maintenance, repairs and resident relations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the effective management of the village.
- Manage and monitor the financial performance of the Village, including budgeting, forecasting and expenditure.
- Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, presentation and safety of the Village.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, prospective residents and the wider community.
- Work closely with the Welfare Officer and relevant care providers to support residents who require assistance.
- Promote the Village to maximise occupancy and support appropriate unit pricing.
- Oversee leasing processes, documentation and unit inspections to ensure compliance and timely completion.
- Liaise with settlement agents, contractors, suppliers and other external stakeholders as required.
- Engage regularly with the Resident Committee and support the coordination of meetings, events and activities.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, audited accounts and relevant financial reporting.
- Ensure the Village operates in accordance with the Retirement Villages Amendment Act 2024 (WA), relevant regulations, the Code of Fair Practice for Retirement Villages and Elderbloom policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes to relevant legislation and regulations and ensure appropriate information is communicated to management.
- Contribute to organisational projects and future village development initiatives as required.
- Minimum five years' experience in a management position, preferably within a retirement village or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience in operational management and leading day-to-day business activities.
- Experience in financial management, budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the needs of older people and a strong resident-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a broader team.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Retirement Villages Amendment Act 2024 (WA).
