As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to join our team.
Position Overview
The Supply and Distribution Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and management of the Company's supply chain, warehousing, inventory, and distribution operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are efficiently sourced, stored, and delivered to meet customer demand and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and manage the supply, storage, and distribution of imported goods, including the implementation of effective operational policies and procedures.
- Organise the supply, storage, and distribution of imported products to retail outlets throughout the Sydney metropolitan area and interstate locations.
- Direct the day to day supply chain activities relating to the storage and distribution of imported goods.
- Coordinate supply, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure efficient and timely product movement.
- Control and oversee supply chain processes to maintain operational efficiency and service standards.
- Manage end to end logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and distribution activities.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and contracts to achieve required quality, pricing, and supply outcomes.
- Work closely with sales and operational teams to ensure alignment between inventory availability, customer demand, and business objectives.
- Develop and implement inventory management plans to maintain appropriate stock levels and support business requirements.
- Maintain effective inventory tracking and recording systems to monitor the movement of goods across Sydney metropolitan and interstate distribution networks.
- Oversee product replenishment, reordering, and restocking activities to ensure continuity of supply.
- Maintain accurate records relating to purchasing, storage, inventory, and distribution transactions.
- Supervise and direct staff involved in warehousing and distribution activities to ensure ongoing supply requirements are met.
- Coordinate stock location management, stock movements, and regular stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Organise and manage the relocation and storage of inventory within the warehouse environment.
- Implement and maintain effective warehousing, storage, and distribution strategies to support operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies, and relevant regulatory standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics, warehousing, distribution, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
