What does the job look like?
This is a high-impact HR Business Partner role supporting a large, multi-site retail portfolio, partnering closely with operational leaders to drive business performance. You will provide end-to-end HR support across employee relations, workforce planning and leadership capability. This is a visible, on-the-ground role where you will influence leaders, drive people outcomes, and contribute to overall business success.
This role is onsite based out of our HQ in Essendon Fields (VIC)
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading complex employee relations matters including investigations, performance management and grievances
Supporting organisational change, restructures, and workforce planning initiatives
Designing and facilitating People Days and leadership development sessions
Collaborating with Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Workplace Relations)
Influencing and challenging leaders to uplift performance and culture
Supporting compliance with workplace legislation and internal policies
Providing regular reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
Building strong relationships across national operational teams and support functions
Are you the one?
You’re a resilient and commercially savvy HR professional who enjoys working in dynamic, high-volume environments. You bring a pragmatic approach, strong business acumen, and are comfortable managing competing priorities across a broad portfolio.
You’re equally confident influencing senior stakeholders and being on-site supporting frontline leaders in fast-paced operational settings.
The ideal candidate can demonstrate:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, business or a related discipline.
Experience in a similar scale HRBP role, ideally within retail, supply chain, logistics or FMCG
Proven capability managing high-volume employee relations cases in operational environments
Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed workforces
Strong stakeholder management across senior leaders and site-based teams
Data-led decision making and ability to translate insights into action
Delivery of leadership capability programs or People Days
A willingness to travel across VIC, NSW, and QLD
