What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Nurse Educator for the Intensive Care Unit, you will deliver, coordinate and evaluate education programs that support clinical best practice, staff development and exceptional patient care. You will provide expert guidance and mentorship to nursing staff while fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. This position works with another CNE on a 12 hour shift roster across Monday to Saturday. The hours of work are 8am to 8:30pm.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing, implementing and evaluating education programs, orientation, induction and ongoing professional development activities.
Supporting nurses to achieve and maintain clinical competencies through coaching, mentoring and competency assessment.
Facilitating bedside teaching and clinical learning using advanced practice knowledge and adult learning principles.
Collaborating with nurse leaders, educators and clinical experts to identify and address workforce education needs.
Driving evidence-based practice, quality improvement initiatives and innovative approaches to education and patient care.
