Children's Art Educator (Contractor)
Gloworm Studios is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and confident Children's Art Educator to join our team.

The Role
- Wednesdays & Fridays, 3:00–6:00 pm during Victorian school terms
- Contractor position (ABN required)
- $30-$35 per hour (depending on experience)
- Opportunity for additional relief teaching and school holiday workshops
You'll lead engaging visual art classes for groups of up to 15 primary school-aged children, fostering creativity through a wide range of art materials and techniques.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is warm, enthusiastic and engaging with children.
- Can confidently lead and manage groups of up to 15 children.
- Remains calm, organised and positive under pressure.
- Is proactive, independent and a confident problem solver.
- Communicates warmly and professionally with both children and parents.
- Values process-based art and encourages creativity over perfection.
- Has confidence using a variety of art materials, including clay, watercolour, acrylic, drawing, charcoal, pastels, sculpture and mixed media.
- Has confidence and experience working with neurodivergent children. We're looking for someone who can adapt their approach to support a range of learning, sensory and communication needs in an inclusive and positive way.
- Is organised, reliable and completes class reports promptly.
- Has an active creative practice (highly desirable).
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience teaching visual art, facilitating children's programs or leading creative workshops.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current ABN and ability to invoice.
- Reliable transport.
- Available Wednesday and Friday afternoons during Victorian school terms.
