About the role
Located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, they are currently seeking experienced and career-focused Senior Insolvency Accountants and /or Supervisors who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of insolvency matters, including supervision of junior insolvency accountants within the team.
These role are best suited to passionate and proactive individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Typical day to day responsibilities
- People management/ supervision of junior insolvency accountants
- Working across a diverse range of clients
- Working in our corporate insolvency and reconstruction team on appointments such as voluntary administrations, receiverships, deeds of company arrangement, creditors’ trusts and liquidations
- Having carriage of a portfolio of matters of various sizes
- Conducting investigations and attending to the necessary statutory reporting
- Recovering and selling businesses and assets
- Litigation support for a range of matters
- Liaising with creditors and all stakeholders involved in various administrations
- Case management
- Working as part of a team on a variety of cases
Desired skills and experience

In addition, the ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:
- Professional experience working on formal insolvency appointments
- In depth knowledge of relevant insolvency and bankruptcy laws
- Experience supervising or managing staff
- Professional Accounting qualifications - (CA/CPA qualification completing or completion) (ARITA qualification)
- Interest in becoming a registered liquidator
- Investigation experience
- Commercial skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in CORE IPS, APS, MYOB, Xero
