About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Services Technician (dry fire systems focus) with strong technical and compliance knowledge, who is either currently leading a team or looking to transition into a Team Leader or operational leadership role.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity within our Fire Services division, delivering high-quality maintenance and compliance services across commercial, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure environments.
You will play a key role in supervising technicians, driving service delivery, and ensuring compliance with AS 1851, while also contributing to continuous improvement and digital reporting via Uptick and AroFlo.
- Lead and support a team of dry fire technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors
- Deliver and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Ensure compliance with AS 1851, NCC/BCA, and relevant Australian Standards
- Provide on-site mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance
- Drive strong client relationships, including site liaison and compliance discussions
- Review service reports, defects, and assist with quoting and rectification opportunities
- Ensure accurate, compliant digital reporting using Uptick (essential) and AroFlo
- Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote a strong safety culture aligned with company systems and SWMS
You are a highly capable technician who enjoys leading by example and is ready to step into a Team Leader or broader operational role, or already operating in a leadership capacity.
- FPA/FPAS accreditation or VBA registration
- Trade qualification in Fire Systems or Electrical
- A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Experience working across large/compliance-driven environments (telecommunications, healthcare, government)
