We are seeking General Services Officers to work across both our kitchen and domestic services at Nowra Private Hospital. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness to all areas of the hospital. You will also be working across our face-paced catering team responsible for all meal preparation and delivery across the hospital.
Your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres

Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas

Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
-
Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved
-
Setting of patient meal trays and serving our patients throughout the Hospital whilst maintaining hygienic food practices.

Washing up and maintaining a clean working area and following safety practices.

Assisting the broader team as required

Stock management

Availability across a 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts
Skills and Experience
The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospital environment but not essential.

Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles

Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus

Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control

Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)

Have experience in cleaning services

Be a team player and love to work within a large team

Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work
