About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environment, works well with others, and is eager to deliver flawless service. The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and quality control protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Planning menus in consultation with the Head Chef and organising special functions or dining events.
- Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods, including premium sake and fresh ingredients, according to the restaurant's budget.
- Maintaining strict records of stock levels, financial transactions, and daily sales.
- Ensuring dining and bar facilities comply with health regulations and remain clean, functional, and of a stylish appearance.
- Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with our Japanese meals, beverages, and overall service.
- Selecting, training, and supervising front-of-house staff and bartenders to ensure premium customer service.
- Taking reservations, greeting guests, and assisting in taking orders during peak service times to maintain an unbeatable ambience.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
- An appropriate Diploma or higher qualification (e.g., Diploma of Hospitality Management), OR a minimum of three (3) years of relevant full-time experience as a Restaurant Manager.
Technical Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of hospitality operations, financial management, and inventory control.
- Solid understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine, dining etiquette, and premium sake is highly regarded.
Interpersonal Skills:
- High level of communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a group.
- Strong time management skills and a high level of self-motivation.
- A strong work ethic with a meticulous eye for detail.
Pay: $79,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
