The Fox Hole boasts a back bar of over 100 gins, 50 whiskies, 20 wines by the glass, seasonal cocktail selection, and a modern British food menu prepared fresh by our kitchen.

Remuneration
This role has a base rate negotiable based on your experience (i.e. if you have WSET, wine or spirits experience, or a passion good food please let us know!). This is a casual role.

WE ARE HIRING
The Fox Hole has just moved to our new, custom built venue on the CBD side of The Rocks. As we embark on this exciting next step in The Fox Hole's story, we are looking to add floor staff to our front of house team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to be a part of a successful team delivering the venue's daily operations, our Gin & Tea afternoons, evening bar services, regular seasonal dinners, and our guided spirit tasting experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service from end to end: good banter and knowledge of current events are a must for you to keep up with our guests and ensure they feel welcome
- Take charge of your tables and manage the flow of the guest experience from arrival to departure, taking care to ensure you are delighting guests at every stage of their visit
- Host tableside tasting experiences, which include gin, whisky, wine, and mezcal. Training is provided on the experience format but sound knowledge of at least one of these drink categories will stand you in good stead
- Develop and maintain a sound product knowledge: answer guest questions, assist with drink selections and proactively upsell as appropriate
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to teamwork, and a willingness to learn
- Cross-sell functions, events, and other venue offerings as appropriate
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of venue public areas

The types of skills qualifications and experience we are looking for
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills, from meet-and-greet to complaints resolution
- Experience using reservations management and point of sale systems
- Current responsible service of alcohol certificate
