Casual Stocktakers – [Brisbane North]

We are currently seeking reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented individuals to join our Casual Stocktake Team in the [Brisbane North] region.
What the Role Involves
As a Casual Stocktaker with RGIS, you will work as part of a team to complete accurate stocktakes at a variety of client locations across the [Brisbane North] region. Key expectations of the role include:
· Using a handheld RGIS scanning device to count and record inventory such as clothing, homewares, groceries, convenience items, liquor, and more
· Working systematically through allocated areas to ensure every product is scanned correctly and in line with RGIS stocktake best practices
· Following instruction from your Team Leader and contributing to team accuracy, productivity, and safety targets
· Working in a range of environments including retail stores, storerooms, convenience stores, coolrooms, and warehouses
· Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and using ladders safely to scan items at various heights
· Maintaining professionalism in client stores and complying with all site safety and conduct expectations
- Attending stocktakes at various locations across the District from [Morayfield] – [Brisbane CBD]
Shifts generally take place outside normal trading hours (early mornings or evenings), as stocktakes occur while stores are closed to customers.
You will work at different stores each shift, providing variety and exposure to multiple environments. Some shifts may include regional travel and occasional overnight stays with accommodation provided.
This is a hands-on, active, and fast-paced role suited to people who enjoy teamwork, variety, and working in changing environments.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate:
- Flexibility to work a casual roster that may include early morning or evening shifts
- Understanding that weekly hours vary depending on business needs (from one shift per week to several)
- Reliable transport, as public transport may not operate at required start or finish times
- Age 18+, due to work in liquor and tobacco retail environments and the requirement to work full shift durations that may fall outside permitted youth work hours
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to excellent service
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and safely count stock at varying heights with a handheld scanning device
Please note:
RGIS applies junior rates for employees under the age of 21 in accordance with the Miscellaneous Award. These rates are set by Fair Work and automatically apply to successful applicants aged 18–20.
