Answer emergency Triple Zero (000) calls - Be the first voice people hear in a crisis.
Manage police radio dispatch duties - Coordinate resources for rapid response.
Prioritise officer and public safety - Every decision matters.
Assess and manage risk factors - Make critical judgments under pressure.
Provide reassurance to distressed callers - Help them feel safe and supported.
Operate advanced communication systems - Enable life-saving actions.
Operate in a 24/7, year-round shift environment. This role requires 24-hour rotational shift work, including afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays, with penalty rates applied on top of your base wage - adaptability and resilience are essential.
You will need to bring a unique combination of skills and qualities which will help you thrive, these include:

With Police Communications Centres including Brisbane, Beenleigh, Maroochydore, Townsville, Cairns and Toowoomba, the Communications Group provides critical call-taking and dispatch services to support the community in frontline police operations.
