Do you love working out doors and interacting with people? Do you want to make a real difference to people in Melbourne's CBD? Do you love riding bikes? We're after someone to backfill a current gap in our team.
About the Role
Being part of our Environmental Services street team, your work will reduce the number of motor vehicles on our roads (replacing them with e-Bikes), and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill (reducing greenhouse gases). The two main tasks of this role involve attending to alerts we receive from the Smart Solar Bins installed for public use around Melbourne’s CBD and troubleshooting them, plus keeping their enclosures clean and tidy inside and out.. There are a couple of other minor tasks which vary depending on the shift you are allocated. This is an all-weather role, you must be comfortable riding a bike in and around the CBD, and willing to handle waste with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by Good Cycles.
Shift duration runs from 8:00am-2:00 pm, Mon-Fri starting at our North Melbourne warehouse. If you love cycling, working outdoors, independently and in a team, and have a great attitude to your work, then please apply! This is a casual role under the Miscellaneous Award, Level 1 for the first 3 months, and then moving to Level 2 should we need you for longer. Future shifts may also be available 4:00pm-10pm, with higher evening rates, as well as weekend shifts.
