Position Overview
Our Service Technicians are based in our Eagle Farm workshop, working Monday to Friday on the servicing, repair, and overhaul of large industrial gas engines and compressors that power critical energy infrastructure across Australia. This role offers excellent work-life balance, with the option to join our flexible field service team (2:2 roster) and travel to customer sites for scheduled maintenance and breakdown support when desired.
What you’ll be doing
- Performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on our equipment.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults.
- Completing on-site repairs, upgrades and equipment commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Providing technical support and exceptional service to customers.
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate service records.
What You'll Bring
- Trade qualification in: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Fitting, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Marine Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, Electrical Trades, or a related technical discipline.
- A genuine interest in developing your career as a Service Technician working on large industrial gas engines and compression equipment.
- Sound understanding of engine fundamentals and general maintenance, servicing, repair, or overhaul activities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- A hands-on approach and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Strong safety focus and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and experience completing service documentation.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights.
