Anchor & Aim Support Services is seeking a warm, reliable female support worker in her 20's for 11-year-old participant.
We are looking for someone who can develop a positive “big sister” connection and understands tween and teenage interests.
The role includes:
- School pick-ups
- Community participation
- Home-based support
- Supporting the participant to develop confidence and independence
Availability required:
- Monday afternoons after school
- Tuesday afternoons after school
- Wednesday afternoons after school
- Friday afternoons after school
- Occasional weekends
The shifts will generally be offered weekly or fortnightly.
About you:
- Neurodiversity-affirming and queer-friendly
- English as first language
- Patient, engaging and dependable
- Interested in creative activities
- Comfortable around chickens inside the home
- Full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Able to complete school pick-ups
Required documents:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Employee Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Australian working-rights evidence
- Driver’s licence, vehicle registration and appropriate insurance
- Two professional references
Previous experience supporting autistic or otherwise neurodivergent children is strongly preferred.
