CSI Transport Driver

Employment type: Ongoing, Full Time
Salary: $1,237.50 per week + Leave Loading + Superannuation
Your Role:
Provide transport and logistics services to Corrective Services NSW and Corrective Services Industries (CSI) clients and customers in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL), RMS road transport regulations, and CSNSW policies and procedures.
What you’ll do:
Deliver heavy vehicle transport and logistics services in accordance with RMS legislation and regulations
Comply with relevant legislation, WH&S, security requirements, HACCP standards, and CSNSW procedures to ensure safe transport of food, freight, and sensitive goods
Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate manual and electronic records to support traceability, reporting, and enquiries
Refer client and customer feedback to management to support issue resolution and service improvement
Conduct daily heavy vehicle checks, report maintenance needs, and ensure vehicles remain safe and compliant
Respond to enquiries promptly and escalate matters where required for timely resolution
This is a Monday to Friday position, with a reasonable amount of overtime that may be required throughout the week to meet operational requirements.
Qualifications Required:
Current NSW Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role
HC Heavy Combination Licence or HR Heavy Rigid and willingness to upgrade
Current Service NSW Driver Printout
Forklift Licence or willingness to undertake training.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to undertake training experience
Experience Required:
Proven Transport Driver Experience
Experience in safe food handling in line with HACCP Guidelines
Compliance, experience and sound understanding of a driver’s responsibilities under CoR, HVNL, legislation and guidelines
Experience in safe operations and work practices with heavy vehicles, freight movement and manual handling (WHS)
Experience in accurately completing heavy vehicle pre-trip inspection, NHVR, EWD, Work Diary, workplace manifests and customer documentation
Safe driving history in line with deadlines and schedules
Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description
