At Cooloola Allied Health, we believe occupational therapy should be practical, meaningful, creative — and enjoyable for both our clients and our clinicians.
We are a small, close-knit team of dedicated allied health professionals who genuinely value collaboration, professional growth and achieving meaningful outcomes for the people we support. Our practice primarily works with NDIS participants across the lifespan, including children, adolescents and adults, with some aged care work.

Our unique farm-based clinic provides an incredible environment for functional, hands-on therapy. With access to animals, gardens, outdoor spaces, farm activities and a farmhouse designed for living-skills practice, therapy can move beyond the traditional clinic room and into real-life situations.
Whether you are teaching a young person to prepare a meal, developing executive functioning through a farm project, supporting social participation through animal care, building independence with daily living tasks, or helping a client develop skills for employment, you will have the freedom to think creatively and use the environment around you to make therapy meaningful.

As an Occupational Therapist with Cooloola Allied Health, you will work with children, adolescents and adults with a diverse range of disabilities, providing therapy across schools, homes, community settings and our unique farm-based clinic.
You will have the opportunity to:

- Complete a diverse range of assessments, interventions and functional capacity assessments.
- Develop Assistive Technology recommendations and applications.
- Work collaboratively with families, support workers, schools and other health professionals.
- Develop and implement programs that can be delivered by our support workers and Allied Health Assistants.
- Receive support and mentoring from an experienced senior Occupational Therapist.

Your caseload will be developed in consultation with you, taking into consideration your experience, strengths, interests and areas you would like to develop.

What You Will Be DoingClinical Service Delivery
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualised, client-centred intervention plans.
- Deliver therapy to children, adolescents and adults with a range of disabilities and support needs.
- Support clients to achieve meaningful goals relating to independence, daily living, learning, employment, social participation and community access.
- Deliver therapy across schools, homes, community environments and the farm-based clinic.
- Collaborate with families, schools, support workers and other health professionals.
- Develop caseloads in consultation with the Senior OT based on your experience, interests and client needs.
- Work collaboratively with the broader allied health team to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Reports, Assessments & Documentation
- Complete high-quality clinical documentation, including progress notes, assessment reports, Functional Capacity Assessments and discharge summaries.
- Complete Assistive Technology assessments, recommendations and supporting documentation for NDIS funding applications.
- Ensure documentation meets professional, clinical and NDIS requirements.
Program Development & Team Collaboration
- Work alongside the Senior OT, Support Workers and Allied Health Assistants to develop and implement individualised therapy programs.
- Translate OT recommendations into practical, engaging programs that can be incorporated into clients' everyday lives.
- Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary meetings and program reviews.
- Share your knowledge and skills with other team members where appropriate.
Pay: $100,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
