About the business/role/team
This role is part of the Business Services Group, Banking department.
Banking Department provides a range of banking services to Australian Government departments and other government instrumentalities as well as a number of overseas central banks and official institutions.
Objectives of the role

Contribute within a team that provides overseas/international payments, registry/financial debt instruments and over-the-counter banking services to government and overseas clients/central banks.

Provide effective operational and administrative customer support for business systems.
-
Ensure that daily processing of files, transactions and other operational tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
-
Provide business operations expertise and guidance to external and internal customers in relation to business processes, including counter and telephone enquiries.
-
Conduct regular reviews of business operations to ensure operational controls are efficient and remain relevant.
-
Monitor systems and liaise with stakeholders to facilitate early detection and resolution of issues.
-
Ensure that activities comply with industry regulations and manage fraud and risk consistent with the Bank’s policies.

Assist with the planning, co-ordination, testing and verification of system changes.
-
Maintain appropriate contingency arrangements for systems/operations/customers/stakeholders.
-
Assist with co-ordination of registry enquiries, both telephone and written correspondence, and ensure they are handled effectively.

Assist with the operational activities of AUD payment services to overseas central bank clients ensuring strict adherence to escalation procedures.

Account maintenance on overseas client accounts and internal departments. Audits of overseas clients.

Ensure adherence at all times to appropriate delegations, procedures and escalation processes.

Provide telling services as required.

Provide an efficient and courteous counter service.

Ensure job procedures remain accurate and up to date.
About you
