We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Manufacturing team, based in Northgate, Australia on-site!

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead continuous improvement for a defined production area to improve safety, quality, reliability, waste, productivity, efficiency, and unit cost.
- Coach and train operators and frontline leaders in practical problem solving, root-cause analysis, and standard work.
- Collect, consolidate, and analyse performance data (e.g., OEE, planned/unplanned losses, waste, defects, non-standard product) to identify trends and priority losses.
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards and visual performance boards that connect daily performance to site targets and improvement priorities.
- Identify gaps to targets and develop clear action plans with owners and timelines to close performance variances.
- Facilitate improvement workshops and on-floor projects with operations, maintenance, engineering, and process owners to remove chronic losses.
- Support equipment care and process stability practices (inspection/cleaning/lubrication, basic maintenance by operators, setup/centreline control, workplace organisation).
- Establish and sustain daily/weekly/monthly routines and meeting cadences to review performance, escalate issues, and track actions to completion.
- Support audits and corrective actions to maintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Contribute to a high-trust, high-accountability culture; cover related duties as needed, including acting as a process owner during leave.

About you:
- Degree in Engineering, Food Science or a related field, or at least 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing/FMCG environment
- Technical experience across end-to-end food manufacturing, including multiple preservation processes
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement approaches
- Strong problem-solving skills, with capability in autonomous maintenance and cleaning/inspection/lubrication practices
- Confident using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio (and able to learn additional systems/tools as required)
- Able to plan, organise and communicate effectively; positive attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experienced in training and facilitating groups; able to coach managers and teams
- Understands the importance of safety, quality and documentation, including writing and maintaining clear procedures and accurate records
