The Role
As the Outside of School Hours Care Worker will see you managing programs and delivering activities, on a weekly basis, to children in Bundoora, Victoria, as well as supervising a small team of Educators. The facility is a great, well resourced space dedicated to Kelly Club programs. As the Outside of School Hours Care Worker, you'll be friendly and communicative with the children's families as an extension of the school's inbuilt culture.
You'll deliver a remarkable service to support families and an average of 20 to 30 children, per session currently, in Before School and After School Care Programs and holiday programs.
Reporting to the Area Manager. The essential purpose of the Outside of School Hours Care Worker is to deliver a fun and interesting program. This will be achieved by providing an inclusive and supportive environment where children are safe, engaged and well supervised.

Duties
-
Develop, plan and implement a stimulating, educational childcare program
- Maintain a child safe environment for all children
- Assist children in routine tasks
- Communicate effectively with staff, families and children
- Complete general administrative tasks
- Perform other duties as required Skills and Experience
Schedule
Monday to Friday
Before school care: 7:00am-9:00am
After school care: 2:45pm-6:00pm
Admin hours: 11 hours and 45 minutes
Total: 38 hours a week
No weekends. On site. Expected start date: 31st of August 2026
Don’t forget about the split shift allowance and laundry allowance too!
Qualifications

At least a relevant AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV including at least one year of relevant post qualification experience; or at least three years of relevant experience can substitute for formal qualifications.
- Valid Working with Children Check (before commencing)
- Current First Aid HLTAID0012, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma
- Management training (before commencing)
- Current child protection training and strong knowledge of child safe standards
About You
Kelly Club Outside of School Hours Care Workers are individuals who are passionate
about working with children and want to pursue their dreams by continuing their growth
in the early education sector. You are qualified, or currently undertaking a relevant
qualification, have experience in running programs with school aged children and
supervisory experience in any sector. For example, OSHC, school teaching, school
camp programs, sporting programs, or the like. Most importantly, you are personable,
enthusiastic, driven, ambitious, and have the natural ability to communicate and engage
with people. You're also well organised and can prioritise your administration, childcare
and employee supervisory responsibilities. You will demonstrate an ability to deliver a
safe, caring and engaging program for primary aged boys and girls, motivating them to
join in and have fun. At the same time, you have the ability to discern what things need
to be documented and reported in order to ensure compliance.
