Grace Recovery Hub, an established and registered NDIS provider, is currently seeking a mature female Disability Support Worker to support a female participant with psychosocial disabilities in Maitland, NSW.
This is a casual role offering strong work-life balance, with 2 x 3-hour shifts per week or 1 X 5 hour shift per week and the potential for additional hours as the participant becomes more comfortable.
We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, and passionate about supporting individuals with mental health needs in a respectful, empowering, and person-centred way.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Provide person-centred support aligned with the participant’s NDIS plan
- Assist with daily living activities such as shopping, appointments, and general tasks
- Support emotional wellbeing and encourage independence
- Assist with personal administration (e.g. bills, housing, Centrelink)
- Encourage participation in social and community activities
- Promote physical wellbeing (e.g. walks, gym, outdoor activities)
- Deliver support including domestic assistance, meal preparation, and light personal care
- Build a safe, positive, and supportive environment
About You
- Experience in mental health and/or psychosocial disability support (preferred)
- A mature, empathetic, and patient approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust with participants
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Selection Criteria
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health and/or relevant experience
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a registered vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Willingness to travel with participants
- Ability to follow individual support plans and recovery-oriented practices
- Willingness to work on short notice when required

Pay: $40.00 – $44.00 per hour
