About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician & Open Licensed Cabler to join our growing team. This role is ideal for professionals who have experience delivering electrical installations, structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, and technical project support across commercial, industrial, and government environments.
You will work on a variety of installation and maintenance projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and decommission electrical and structured cabling systems.
- Perform installations of ICT infrastructure, network equipment, communications systems, and associated hardware.
- Test, inspect, and commission electrical and cabling installations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and cabling faults.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate installation records and update asset documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, workplace safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Support Project Managers with technical advice and project delivery.
- Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or improvements where required.
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Lead installation teams on larger projects when required.
Essential Requirements
- Current Australian Electrical Licence.
- Current Open Registered Cabler Licence (ACMA).
- White Card.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Strong knowledge of Australian electrical and communications standards.
- Experience with structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Fibre Optics).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- Fibre Optic Termination & Testing certification.
- Working at Heights.
- EWP Licence.
- Confined Space certification.
- First Aid & CPR.
- Experience working in data centres, government facilities, commercial buildings, or critical infrastructure.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, security systems, or AV installations.
