We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and proactive Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. Multiple positions are available across a variety of shifts, including day, evening, weekends, sleepovers, and active nights.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, mealtime support, mobility, and hygiene.
- Support participants in achieving their NDIS goals and enhancing their independence.
- Facilitate and encourage participation in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Administer medication and implement care plans as directed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress notes.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals.
About You
You are empathetic, respectful, and committed to making a positive difference. You are confident working independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to adapt to various client needs and environments.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in disability support, aged care, or community services (required)
- Cert III or IV or Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (required).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
- Working With Children Check (required).
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle (required).
- Ability to use technology for reporting and rostering (desired).
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
Highly desirable:
- Ability to speak Tamil, as the participant’s primary language is Tamil and effective communication is essential for providing quality support.
- Understanding of Tamil culture would be an advantage.
