About the Role
The Research and Data Analyst is responsible for managing research, collecting datasets, conducting analysis, interpreting findings and report writing to guide the Commission's work in providing high quality, evidence-based strategic solutions to address client needs.
The role also collaborates with teams across the Commission to support their specific data requirements and project needs.
The role is an opportunity to:

Contribute data insights to support Commission priorities and projects, including anti-vilification, sexual harassment prevention, disability discrimination, change and suppression practices and other human rights related work, as required.

Perform research and data analysis to support Human Rights Solutions' projects and promotions and marketing initiatives.

Advise and support teams across the Commission on appropriate methodologies when undertaking research and evidence-gathering activities.

Contribute to the publication of reports, articles and data including the production of Commission publications.

Perform literature searches and reviews to support the delivery of research projects.

Use quantitative and qualitative program data, to support monitoring and evaluation of program effectiveness.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Research knowledge: Experience in performing quantitative and qualitative research using a range of methodologies.

Data handling skills: Demonstrated ability in preparing reports, dashboards and briefings for planning, prioritisation and continuous improvement.

Data analysis: Able to analyze quantitative data and to apply inferential statistical approaches.

Communication skills: Demonstrates excellent written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to the audience.

Problem-solving: Thinks creatively and works collaboratively to solve problems.

Software: Demonstrates competence in analytic/statistical software to support research
Qualifications

A relevant tertiary qualification in human rights law or commensurate professional experience would be highly desirable
