Hydrapower Australia has been designing and manufacturing hydraulic earthmoving attachments in Brendale since 1981 — road profilers, stabilisers, trenchers, flail mowers, post hole borers, slashers, brooms and more, direct from our workshop to customers across Australia and overseas.

THE ROLE
A genuine on-the-tools position with real variety — small batch and one-off production work across CNC and manual machining, plus involvement in the hydraulic assembly and fit-out of equipment prior to dispatch. If you like seeing a job through from start to finish, you'll fit right in here.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Operating and programming CNC lathes and machining centres (Fanuc control)
- Setting up, proving and running small batch and one-off jobs
- Operating manual lathes as required
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and job specifications
- Holding dimensional accuracy and surface finish to specification
- Assisting with hydraulic assembly and fit-out of equipment prior to dispatch
- Routine machine maintenance and general workshop housekeeping

- Fadal VMC4020 Vertical Machining Centre
- Vturn 36 CNC Lathe
- Harrison Alpha CNC/Manual Combination Lathe
- Manual Lathes
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Fanuc CNC control experience — if you know Fanuc, we can teach the rest
- Trade qualified in Fitting & Machining, Fitting & Turning or equivalent — or currently in your 3rd or 4th year of apprenticeship
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- The right attitude — this matters as much as your ticket
Desirable:
- CNC milling or lathe programming experience
- Exposure to hydraulic systems or assembly work
- Experience on vertical machining centres
