About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care that promotes positive outcomes for residents, while adhering to Arcare’s values, policies, and professional clinical standards.
- Clinical Care: Deliver high quality nursing care, including conducting health assessments, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and evaluating residents' responses to treatment and care plans.
- Wound Management: Assess, treat and manage wounds while implementing infection prevention and control measures.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement and review individualised care plans tailored to residents' clinical and personal needs.
- Assessment & Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical records and document assessments, care plans and changes in residents' conditions using eCase and other clinical systems.
- Pain Management: Identify, assess and address pain concerns using appropriate nursing interventions and evidence-based strategies.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and escalate clinical concerns where required.
- End-of-Life Care: Provide compassionate palliative and end-of-life care and support to residents and their families.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work in consultation with medical practitioners, allied health professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver resident care.
- Resident & Family Support: Provide information, education and support to residents and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans and ongoing care requirements.
- Supervision & Clinical Leadership: Supervise, mentor and provide clinical guidance to Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Assistants and other care staff to support the delivery of safe and effective care.
- Health Promotion: Promote health, wellbeing and preventative care initiatives that enhance residents' quality of life and support positive health outcomes.
What we’re looking for
- A recognised nursing qualification at Bachelor level or above.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Sound knowledge of aged care legislation, Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical best practice
- Strong clinical assessment, care planning and medication management skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Friendly, professional and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with residents, families and colleagues
- Adaptable, passionate and committed to continuous learning and professional development
- A genuine commitment to delivering high quality, person-centred care
