Leeton Shire Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Greenkeeper to join our Open Space and Recreation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of the Leeton Golf Course.
The primary purpose of the position is to provide Greenkeeping services, including but not limited to undertaking all maintenance and construction work associated with the Leeton Golf Course.
Duties: Specific duties are detailed in the Operations section of the position description, including but not limited to:
Identify and assist in the development of works programs for the golf course maintenance and construction.
Provide technical input and advice on turf, arboriculture, irrigation and landscape construction and maintenance issues when required.
Carry out routine maintenance and regular servicing of plant.
About You
We are looking for a team-oriented professional with experience as a Greenkeeper. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications: Cert 3 in Greenkeeping or equivalent with at least 2-4 years relevant work experience, AQF3 Chemical Certification, Chainsaw Licence and a Class C driver licence is required.
This position is Full Time– 38 hours per week with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.
Salary: Grade 7 in Council’s salary system ($1,201.90 to $1,339.40 per week) depending upon qualifications and experience, plus 12% Superannuation.
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to undergo and successfully pass a Functional Assessment which includes an alcohol and other drug screening and a hearing test.
