Cadence Connect have partnered exclusively with a well-established Brisbane technology business looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join their growing Managed Services team.
This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of client environments, tackle challenging infrastructure issues, and be recognised as a trusted technical expert.
About the Role:
You'll provide advanced technical support across multiple customer environments, acting as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues while helping improve systems, documentation and operational processes.
You'll work closely with both customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions while contributing to continual service improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 technical support across Windows Server and Microsoft cloud environments
- Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, networking and Microsoft 365 issues
- Support Azure, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 administration
- Manage virtualised environments using VMware and Hyper-V
- Assist with server, storage and network administration
- Troubleshoot backup, security and endpoint management solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where required
About You:
You'll be an experienced Systems Administrator or Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a customer-first mindset and excellent troubleshooting skills.
You'll ideally bring experience with:
- Windows Server
- Microsoft 365
- Azure & Entra ID
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Exchange Online
- VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs)
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- PowerShell scripting (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
