About the Role
As our Systems & Digital Support Technician, you’ll be responsible for implementing, maintaining and improving library systems, digital platforms and processes to ensure seamless access to resourcesfor our community.
This is a varied role where you will balance technical system management with customer-facing support and innovation. This position is based out of our Gordon White Library, however local travel to support other libraries within our region is likely.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, administer and optimise the Library Management System (LMS) and related technologies
- Lead or support implementation of library systems, hardware and software projects
- Analyse data and generate reports to inform service improvements
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across library services
- Support delivery of digital services and ensure equitable access to technology
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors and external stakeholders
- Provide front-line library support including customer service, technology assistance and resource enquiries
About You
Essential
- Ability to undertake a comprehensive pre-employment medical with instant drug and alcohol screening.
- Tertiary qualifications in Library & Information Studies, IT, or a related field with relevant experience
- Strong experience working with library systems or similar technology platforms (ideally LMS)
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data and produce meaningful reports
- Well-developed project management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement and change initiatives
- Working with Children Blue Card
Desirable
- Experience managing library systems within a public library environment
- Associate membership with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
