The Venue
St Ives Indoor Sport Centre located at St Ives High School in Sydney’s Upper North Shore which opened in early February 2026. The facility is a collaboration between the Department of Education and Ku-ring-gai Council and includes four sports courts, a multipurpose room, café and underground carpark.
Ku-ring-gai Council has appointed Belgravia Leisure to operate the facility outside of school hours.
The Role
Reporting to the Program Coordinator the Program Assistant will aide in the day-to-day operation of the centres programs by ensuring that programs are run to specification. You will ensure that the venue programme delivery is of a high standard while providing positive customer feedback.
Key accountabilities

Attendance at all scheduled programs and services
- Work to assist achievement of goals and targets as set out in the annual business plan.
- Ensure that programs are run without incident
- Maintain all program equipment in safe working order

Deliver great service and quality to guests

Learn about and adhere to all company policies

Follow the law and all reasonable company instructions and directives
- Perform other duties reasonably directed by the company
ESSENTIAL:
-
Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
-
Strong customer service background
-
Knowledge of leisure-based programs
-
Must have evening and weekend work availability. Dry site (no aquatics)

Proven ability and experience in delivering high-quality customer service, in dealing with difficult customers and handling emergencies.
DESIRABLE:
-
Experience in coaching netball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, soccer and/or pickleball desired
