The Roma Street Station Surface Integration Project (RSSSI) is a key part of Queensland's significant rail infrastructure pipeline, supporting the future capacity and connectivity of the state's transport network.
As Manager (Project Controls), you will lead the project controls and business management function for the RSSSI Project and support other designated projects within the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office (RIDO). Reporting to the Project Director, you will ensure the governance, systems, processes and resources required to support successful project delivery are in place and operating effectively.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical project controls expertise with leadership responsibility in a complex, high-profile infrastructure environment. You will oversee critical business management functions including project governance, performance reporting, financial management, procurement, resource coordination, information management, scheduling, budgeting and risk management, ensuring project leaders have the insights and controls needed to make informed decisions and maintain delivery confidence.
Leading a team of professionals and specialist advisors, you will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement while providing trusted advice to senior leaders on project performance, governance and business management matters. You will work closely with the Engineering, Delivery and Commercial workstreams, and play an important role in project governance and change management leadership forums. Through this leadership role on the project, you will provide highly supportive leadership and management to a broad range of project personnel.
This role will suit an experienced leader with strong project, commercial or business management capability who thrives in complex delivery environments and enjoys translating strategy into practical outcomes. Primarily office-based in Brisbane CBD, you will bring the ability to lead people, strengthen systems and drive performance while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced project setting.
