The Role
You’ll develop and maintain the master production schedule and manage the inventory planning that supports it, ensuring the right materials, kits, and components are available when required. You’ll keep the schedule aligned to real project and site installation dates, providing clear visibility of priorities, risks, and any potential delays.
This is a hands-on planning role with regular presence on the production floor. You’ll work closely with Production and Operations teams to keep the schedule tight, identify issues early, and provide clear visibility when there is any slippage.
The role is about keeping production moving through accurate planning, inventory readiness, and strong follow-through, while ensuring the right information is available to support on-time delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain an accurate and achievable production schedule that supports customer delivery commitments and business priorities.
- Ensure material availability to support production requirements and customer delivery commitments.
- Manage inventory levels to achieve the right balance between stock availability and working capital.
- Lead and support a work group to ensure inventory accuracy, material control, and production job readiness.
- Act as the link between Production, Inventory, and Operations to ensure the business unit is operating to plan. Coordinate across Project Management, Production, Inventory, and Operations teams to ensure schedules, resources and priorities remain aligned.
- Monitor schedule performance, identify risks, bottlenecks and material shortages, and proactively implement solutions before they impact delivery commitments.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, and/or manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated capability in inventory management, stock control, and material flow across production operations.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and planning tools to support production and inventory management.
- Confidence to challenge, escalate, and drive outcomes under pressure
- Supervisory experience and a manufacturing/fabrication background (highly desirable, not essential)
