What your day could look like
As Senior Project Officer (Infrastructure), you'll play a key role in delivering facilities that enable safe, high-quality healthcare for the community. From planning and guiding complex construction projects to building strong partnerships, you'll help turn ideas into spaces that support better care and health outcomes.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Leading end-to-end infrastructure projects, delivering outcomes on time, on budget, and to a high standard
Guiding multidisciplinary teams and working closely with stakeholders to align projects with service needs
Managing risks, performance, and project reporting to ensure informed decisions at every stage
Providing strategic advice and driving improvements that strengthen how projects are delivered across the health service
Let's talk about you!
You're a confident and capable project professional who thrives on delivering meaningful outcomes. You bring clarity to complexity, build trust with others, and lead with integrity, even when challenges arise. You take pride in shaping environments that make a real difference to people's lives, and you're motivated by creating lasting impact through well-delivered infrastructure.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Strong experience in construction or civil project management
Proven ability to lead projects, manage budgets, and coordinate diverse teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with sound judgement and attention to detail
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have a relevant qualification in project management, construction, architecture, or civil engineering, and/or experience delivering projects in complex or regional environments.
Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health, compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation, and courage, into every project you deliver.
This is your chance to create infrastructure that enables better care, stronger services, and healthier communities.
